Drs. Tashi ErdmannTashi Erdmann studied econometrics at the University of Amsterdam. He obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degree ‘cum laude'. His Master thesis about risk management was written during an internship at Watson Wyatt Insurance Consulting. After finishing his education he was mathematics teacher at Keera-Pat International School in Bangkok.

As a student, Tashi had several extra-curricular activities. He was mathematics tutor, employee of Consultants Intercultural Communication, and football referee for the Royal Dutch Football Association. In addition, he was involved twice in the prestigious Econometric Game, an international championship for econometrics students, once as chairman and once as participant. In his leisure time Tashi practices karate intensively, and is assistant-instructor. Furthermore, he likes to travel frequently, and speaks six languages, including Thai. He has made bicycle tours in the Pyrenees and Himalayas, backpacking journeys in Southeast-Asia and Middle-America and lived in Thailand for two years.

Since 2008, Tashi has been working as a consultant for IBIS UvA. He has been trainer of many open Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt programs. He has also given training and/or supported projects for a number of clients of IBIS UvA, including Ziggo, TenneT, and Eurocross Assistance. The combination of consultancy work and scientific research is ideal for Tashi. Under supervision of Prof. Dr. Jeroen de Mast he is doing his PhD research about measurement system analysis.
